With millions of dollars in bitcoin contributions pouring in to assist Ukraine in defending itself against the continuing Vladimir Putin-led Russian invasion, the Ukrainian government has declared that it would offer airdrops to anyone who donates crypto to the country. It has been verified that an airdrop will take place, according to a message from the Ukrainian government’s official Twitter account. A snapshot will be captured and released on March 3rd at 6 p.m. Kiev time (11 am EST). Ukraine Confirms Airdrop After Massive Crypto Donations The Ukrainian government issued a plea to the world last week, providing wallets for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Tether to anybody who wanted to donate in cryptocurrencies (USDT). This was welcomed with enthusiastic response and a large number of contributions from the cryptocurrency community. So far, the linked Bitcoin wallet alone has received 219 bitcoins for a total of $9.6 million in bitcoins while the Ethereum wallet has received more than $10 million. The TRON community was also said to have donated more than $1.2 million in USDT. Subsequently, the official Twitter account revealed that it is now taking contributions in another cryptocurrency as well, Polkadot.
