Payments firm Nuvei (NASDAQ:NVEI) on Wednesday partnered with Ledger, a hardware wallet provider, to enable direct on-ramps for 125+ cryptocurrencies through Visa (NYSE:V), Mastercard (NYSE:MA), SEPA, SWIFT and over 100 other fiat funding options. The integration allows Ledger users to buy digital assets without having to go through external exchanges and fiat-to-crypto payment gateways, the company said. “With the number of possible verified uses of crypto in the ecosystem ever increasing, having easy onramps within the wallet is key for the continued growth of the sector,” said Nuvei Chair and CEO Philip Fayer. Looking at intraday crypto price action, bitcoin (BTC-USD +4.7%) is rising back over $40K and ethereum (ETH-USD +5.9%) is jumping to $2.68K. In January, non-fungible token marketplace Kreatorhood picked Nuvei to power payments for digital content creators.
