Early Bitcoin ($BTC) adopter and advocate Roger Ver, who is nicknamed “Bitcoin Jesus” for his efforts to assist the early cryptocurrency community flourish, recently defended the meme-inspired cryptocurrency Dogecoin ($DOGE) as “much better” than BTC. Bitcoin.com founder, in the interview, said he is a fan of the meme-inspired cryptocurrency because of its fast transaction times and low fees. Ver was quoted saying: Dogecoin is significantly better [than Bitcoin]; it’s cheaper and reliable. If I had to pick three contenders for the world’s dominant cryptocurrency, they would be Doge, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. It’s worth mentioning that Ver is a vocal supporter of Bitcoin Cash ($BCH), having endorsed BCH during the Bitcoin fork in August 2017 when the network split in two. Bitcoin Cash inherited Bitcoin’s transaction history at the time, but its block size was dramatically increased to handle additional transactions.
