Video game retailer GameStop has unveiled a new wallet for storing, sending, and receiving crypto and NFTs ahead of the launch of its NFT marketplace later this year. The wallet will enable gamers to send and receive in-game assets without having to leave their web browsers. GameStop’s self-custodial wallet was in its beta stage, running on the Ethereum blockchain. The wallet will enable transactions on the NFT marketplace that it’s aiming to launch in the second quarter of 2022. According to the wallet’s website, the wallet will also be available to use with iPhones. The wallet will operate similarly to MetaMask, and users can migrate their MetaMask wallet to their GameStop wallet.
