OFAC Sanctions Three More ETH Addresses Tied To $600M Ronin Attack

The US government is continuing to impose penalties in response to Axie Infinity’s Ronin sidechain attack last month, which led in the theft of more than $600 million in cryptocurrency. The three ETH addresses flagged by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) in today’s action had all previously been linked to the Ronin bridge attack. OFAC had previously flagged one of the addresses listed today in a previous action. As previously reported, the March 23 hack resulted in the theft of 173,600 ETH and $25.5 million in stablecoin USDC. The Lazarus Group, a hacking organization linked to the North Korean government, has been blamed by US investigators.
